Timeline

  • April 2017:  A cervical mass shows up on my CT Scan.  I'm referred to an OB/GYN.
  • May 2017:  Doctor isn't certain how to proceed as I am not a "typical patient".  He confers with other doctors and decides to biopsy.
  • June 22, 2017:  The biopsy under anesthesia turns into a removal of the mass; it's the size of the doctor's hand.  The doctor tells my husband there is a 70% chance I have cancer.
  • June 26, 2017:  The diagnosis is confirmed.  I have Uterine Cancer, Grade One.  The doctor writes a referral to the specialist of my choice.
  • August, 8,2017:  After over a month-long wait, I'm told I need a PET/CT to check for any spreading cancer due to the size of the tumor.
